ACare WA didn’t begin as a business idea; it began as a personal awakening. Rooted in the heart of Denmark, Western Australia, it grew out of love, frustration, and a fierce determination to do better for our parents and older members of the community.
Like many families, we thought we could manage aged care on our own until it became a personal issue. When my mother and in-laws entered the aged care system, we quickly realised how confusing, disjointed, and emotionally draining it could be. Despite decades of community work, I wasn’t prepared, and that’s a story we hear time and again.
The system expected too much from families, offered too little in clarity, and left too many without the support they needed, especially in regional communities like ours.
That was the moment everything changed.
We created ACare WA to fill a gap that should never have existed: care that is flexible, local, respectful, and truly centred on the individual. Our mission is simple: to help people stay in their own homes longer, with dignity and choice, surrounded by familiar faces and a community that cares.
We’re not here to take over, we’re here to walk beside you. To support families, to ease the burden of care, and to make sure no one feels overwhelmed or alone in this journey.
Today, ACare WA is more than a service. It’s a movement, driven by community, built on trust, and grounded in the belief that everyone deserves to age well, at home.
